Glossary - Outstanding

Outstanding shares refer to the number of stocks that a company has issued. Shares outstanding refer to a company's stock currently held by all its stakeholder, including share blocks held by institutional investors and restricted shares owned by the company’s officers and insiders. If you are a stakeholder and your stock grant is "outstanding" this means that it has been issued out by the company and is currently active, counting as a part of the company's fully diluted.
